Elabora 0.5.0: an AI inside the app, clearer properties

  • OpenCode, a free AI, works inside Elabora
  • Clearer block properties, set out in sections
  • Describe an image or translate a text in one click

All changes

  • OpenCode works in Elabora, in the Agent panel, with its free models (usually slower than Claude and ChatGPT): choose it in « Votre IA préférée » or in the composer’s menu, which now say where each AI works. Its reply comes as it is written, one line says what it does in the module’s words, and its steps then fold into one line whose screens are links. It asks in a card before spending your ElevenLabs quota, reading a file outside the module or reading a web page (naming only its site). « Arrêter » or Esc stops a turn, « Annuler » undoes the whole turn, and earlier conversations reopen from the panel’s head.
  • « Propriétés » reads at a glance: each value sits in its own well on a regular grid, and a block’s settings come in sections by meaning (Question, Options, Notation for a quiz; Contenu and Données for a chart), the rarely used ones under « Plus de réglages ». Presentations are small pictures, a picture shows its focal point, zones or markers, a chart’s rows show their values as bars and a quiz’s right answer is ticked. Values left to their default read in grey; « Place » and « Accessibilité » fold with a summary.
  • A small ✨ beside an empty image text alternative or an empty translation asks OpenCode’s free models to fill it. The rest of the app stays free while it works, the words land in their field even if you went elsewhere, and ⌘Z or « Annuler » undoes it. The first time, if OpenCode is not your AI, one line asks before anything leaves the computer.
  • Once a request is handed to Claude or ChatGPT, the composer says the conversation goes on in its app, with « Ouvrir Claude » (or ChatGPT) and « Nouvelle conversation »: a follow-up no longer opens a second conversation unawares. The panel shows the request at once, in a few words for one launched from elsewhere.
  • « Installer dans Claude » asks nothing more: the extension serves the modules Elabora knows, its library and the folders the app opened, including those created after Claude started.
  • A seventh example in « Exemples »: « How do canal locks work? », a five-minute module with a 3D lock to operate, a cross-section that explains it and a lock keeper’s case.
  • Publier says what loading the course costs in energy, as an everyday gesture (« autant qu’une ampoule LED allumée 45 minutes »). The sentence follows the media quality and the course’s real weight without building it; its icon gives the CO₂ of a car over the same and opens the manual’s page « Poids et énergie ».
  • Each section of Charte has « ✨ Nouveau », which asks your agent for one more style, variant or layout. A right click on a step’s title in the Script (or Shift+F10) offers « Mettre en scène l’étape » and « Générer l’étape ». The Script and Chronologie panel takes the height of what it shows and moves smoothly between them. In « Ajouter un bloc », the pointer goes straight to « Insérer » without the blocks it crosses taking its place. Download gauges hold still, in whole megabytes.
  • The reading order shows the screen as a screen reader reads it: its title first, then the texts of its layout, such as a part’s title and lead, numbered like the blocks. A block whose picture is decorative is still read by its text, and screen readers hear a part opener’s number (« Partie 1 »).
  • Checks with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge no longer wait for the browser to exit (fit from 12 s to 3 s, screenshot from 11 s to 2.5 s); a theme that styles the classic progress bar no longer draws a second bar under the parts; Editorial’s part opener keeps its lead clear of the band on phones; text painted by a clipped gradient is no longer reported unreadable.
  • For agents and the CLI: elabora mcp with no folder serves the courses Elabora knows (elabora mcp . serves the current folder); each chat turn is one batch that « Annuler » undoes whole, with refused tools recorded and elabora history --chats; packageWeights gives a package’s weight at each media quality without building it.
  • The course schemas are published up to 0.1.10: x-group names a setting’s section and x-advanced marks the rarely changed ones. Files pointing to earlier versions stay valid.
