Reporting and moderation
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Elabora hosts content it does not write:
- the modules authors publish on
<space>.elabora.page; - the comments reviewers write on
revue.elabora.studio.
This page explains how to report content that is illegal or breaches our terms of use, what we do with your report, and how to contest a decision.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 112. In France, you can also report illegal content to the authorities on PHAROS: https://www.internet-signalement.gouv.fr.
1. Our points of contact
| For | Address | Languages |
|---|---|---|
| Anyone who wants to report content (point of contact for recipients) | abuse@elabora.studio | French, English |
| Authorities of EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services (point of contact for authorities) | abuse@elabora.studio (subject: “Authority”) | French, English |
Messages are read by a person, not a robot.
2. How to report content
Write to abuse@elabora.studio. So that we can act quickly, your report should contain:
- the exact address of the content:
- for a module: the full address, e.g.
https://example.elabora.page/my-module/, and if possible the screen concerned; - for a review comment: the review link and the comment’s number, or a screenshot;
- for a module: the full address, e.g.
- why the content is illegal or breaches our terms, in a few sentences. If you can, say which law or right it infringes (for example your copyright, with proof that you hold it);
- your name and e-mail address. They are optional if the report concerns child sexual abuse;
- a statement of good faith: “I declare in good faith that the information and allegations in this notice are accurate and complete.”
Warning: knowingly presenting lawful content as illegal in order to have it removed is a criminal offence in France, punishable by one year’s imprisonment and a €15,000 fine.
If a module’s author can be reached, you may also contact them directly. This does not replace a report.
3. What we do with your report
- Acknowledgement. If you gave your address, we reply within 2 working days.
- Review. A person examines the report diligently, objectively and in a non-arbitrary way. We use no automated tool to decide.
- Time frames:
- manifestly illegal and serious content (child sexual abuse, terrorism, threats): removal within 24 hours of reading the report, and the authorities are informed where the law requires it;
- other cases: a decision within 7 days. Where useful, for example for a disputed copyright, we first ask the author for their view. They then have 5 days to answer, which may extend the time frame.
- Decision. We tell you our decision and the available remedies.
What we can decide:
- do nothing, if the content is neither illegal nor contrary to the terms;
- unpublish a publication: the module no longer answers;
- close or delete a review, or delete a comment;
- suspend an account: its devices are signed out and it can no longer sign in;
- delete an account, with its space and reviews.
We choose the most proportionate measure. The service does no demotion or visibility reduction.
Serious offences. If content gives rise to a suspicion of an offence threatening someone’s life or safety, we promptly inform the authorities. We also inform the authorities of the other illegal activities the law requires us to report to them.
4. What we tell the author (statement of reasons)
When we restrict content or an account, we write to the author’s account address. For a comment, we cannot warn a reviewer, who has no address with us. The message states:
- the measure taken: removal, closure, suspension or deletion, and for how long;
- the facts behind it, and whether it follows a report or our own initiative. We reveal the identity of the person who reported only if strictly necessary;
- that the decision was taken without automated means;
- the ground: the law concerned, or the article of the terms, and why we consider the content infringes it;
- the available remedies (section 5).
We do not warn in advance if this would compromise an investigation, or if an authority asks us not to.
5. Contesting a decision
Both the person who reported and the author concerned can:
- Ask for a review of the decision, by replying to our e-mail within 6 months with their arguments. A person re-examines the decision and answers within 14 days. We reverse the measure if it was not justified.
- Go to court: the competent court, in France or in their country.
- Lodge a complaint with Arcom, the Digital Services Coordinator in France, if they think we do not comply with the Digital Services Act: https://www.arcom.fr.
6. Requests from authorities
We handle orders from judicial or administrative authorities, sent to abuse@elabora.studio. We inform the authority of the action taken, without undue delay.
7. Transparency
Elabora is currently a non-professional activity, carried out by an individual; it is not described as a micro or small enterprise under EU law.
The reporting, explanation and review procedures on this page are our commitments to users. Transparency obligations under the Digital Services Act are assessed according to its scope and the service’s actual classification. The non-professional nature of the activity does not, by itself, establish a general exemption. If the activity changes, this page and the applicable obligations will be reassessed.
